I've been to Amber Motors a few times now and the diagnosis has always been accurate and honest. They get my cars back on the road quickly and cheaply and always have the customer's interest at heart, above their own financial interests (this is what separates them from the rest). I was told that the car was worthless and needed scrapping. It had suddenly come up with an engine fault just after the MOT they did. They told me it was a new turbo and would cost thousands. They took money off me for the MOT and gave me nothing for the Car. I found out later they had sold the car. Not a fair business. Was just trying to sell the car myself and wanted 1000. They have given me no confidence in local garages and now I only use main dealers. Probably my worst customer experience to date.
